Licensing Options

Autocell Laboratories, Inc. offers a number of licensing options to best fit our customers' needs. These options include Access Point and Station source code, and non-exclusive patent license packages. All licenses are royalty based. The royalty is based on the number of wireless ports shipped. Patent License Options
Autocell offers two patent licensing options:

An IEEE 802.11 standards package that includes a non exclusive license to all patents necessary to implement the emerging IEEE 802.11v Standard for Wireless Network Management. Please contact us for licensing terms.

A full non exclusive license to the entire Autocell patent portfolio, including all issued patents as well as any patent which may issue from our existing portfolio of applications (over 100 issued and pending applications). Please contact us for licensing terms.

Source Code License Options
Customers may license the Access Point (AP) source code which provides the world's best proven channel selection implementation, as well as dynamic transmit AP power control and enhanced mobility. This source code is supported on both VxWorks and Linux platforms, and may be integrated into APs for a distributed implementation or into centralized switches for a centralized approach. In either case, royalties are based on the number of APs or wireless controller ports. Please contact us for licensing terms.

When licensing the AP code, customers may optionally choose to license the Station source code, which provides Stations with load balancing and transmit power control when used in an Autocell enabled infrastructure. The Autocell Station code consists of a set of enhancements to a Windows-based operating system driver. Royalties are based on the number of Stations shipped. Please contact us for licensing terms.
